The Race Against Time (2017, dir. Monty Wilson). I was location sound recordist for the first weekend of the shoot.

Treasure (2017, dir. Charlie Richardson). My role on this film was sound recordist and mixer. I also co-wrote and produced the original soundtrack along with Charlie, Rob and Monty. Was a lot of fun to work on, and thank you to Charlie and the rest of the crew for the 21st birthday celebrations!

Hasty Orisons (2017, dir. Edward Hiscox). Dubbing mixer. This film posed the obvious challenge that that sound had been recorded in the back of a (moving) Land Rover. I have never really done any dialogue editing before, and the engine noise was pretty terrible, with the revs changing pitch across each different take. I used iZotope RX5 to clean it up without making it sound artificial, although I feel like I could have done a better job with more time. The sound improves towards the end as the Land Rover was on tow for the later scenes. It was a great learning curve though!

Making something exciting with Nathan Ball yesterday! Shot on an Arri Alexa under the watchful eye of Rob!

Women At The Game (2017, dir. James Colledge).

Here’s my graduate project, which I am very proud of! It was a long process; I shot it on 4th March when Enfield Town FC hosted their first Women At The Game event, as part of a nationwide scheme. I decided that shooting the film in one day would be a good challenge, as we were given four days in which to shoot, and I didn’t want to lose sight of the day itself being a ‘special event’.

Rut (2017, dir. James Henson). I recorded and mixed the sound.

Horsing around.

Shooting Rut in Exeter this weekend. Radio mic in egg bowl was a stroke of genius if I do say so.

Currently in London shooting with Nathan Ball. He’s playing a sold out show at Omeara tomorrow night. We spent some time at his flat and his guitarist Max’s bedroom studio. Tomorrow we’re going to a rehearsal and the gig, which his biggest UK show to date.
